Newton built his Theory on gravity based on attractive property of matter. But he failed to answer what gives the attractive property. When encountered with this question he said "I frame no hypothesis". His theory and works are based on certain assumptions such as, instantaneous communication of force, existence of non equilibrium, existence of uniformly accelerated motion in straight line. His world view began to break down with discovery of electromagnetic force and evolution of science into subatomic realm that led to discovery of two more forces - strong and weak nuclear forces. Einstein saved the situation by uniting space and time into one scale and imagining a gravity net, that communicates force in time. Einstein in his imagination of gravity net brought the field concept into gravity. But his theory breaks down when it is extended in time. The picture of nature became complex with Einstein.
